Anti-Smoking Rap

Andrew Freeman, a sixth-grader at Briggs Chaney Middle School in Silver Spring, performed the winning rap song at the Chalk Out the Smoke event. He sang to the beat of rapper Jay-Z's song "Dirt Off Your Shoulder."

The Surgeon general warns . . .

Smoking causes lung cancer, heart disease, and emphysema

Cigarette smoke contains carbon monoxide

Quitting smoking now greatly reduces serious risks to your health

Yo, yo, yo . . . I don't think you heard me

You should be tobacco-free just trust me

Tar and nicotine will have you craving like a fiend

Smoking will end all yo hoop dreams, and

And, them drugs is so so mean, man

They prevent you from act-tiv-ities

And deliberately companies distribute these, and please
