Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor 's trial on felony assault charges has been rescheduled for April 17 in Miami.
The trial, which had been set to begin Monday, was moved back because of Passover, as well as a court holiday April 14, according to prosecutor Mike Grieco .
Taylor, 23, was arrested June 4 and charged with three counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon. His attorneys submitted a motion to dismiss the case Tuesday, which was rejected by the judge. Both sides say they do not expect a plea bargain and are ready to proceed with the trial. . . .
A hearing will take place tomorrow in U.S. District Court in New York concerning the case between agent Carl Poston , who represents former Redskin LaVar Arrington , and the NFL Players Association. Poston is appealing a two-year suspension issued by the NFLPA. . . . Linebacker Chris Clemons signed his one-year qualifying offer from the Redskins.
