Carlyle Asia Venture Partners II has raised at least $770 million, from 78 investors, of its $1.5 billion target, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The first Carlyle Asia Partners fund raised $750 million in 1999, and through last September has had a net return to investors of more than 11 percent a year, according to Calpers , an investor.

M2Z Networks , a District-based broadband wireless networking firm, raised $4 million in a Series A preferred stock offering to five investors, including Redpoint Ventures of Menlo Park, Calif., and Charles River Ventures of Waltham, Mass. An SEC filing indicated M2Z's A round was targeted at $10 million.

Induslogic , a Vienna provider of outsourced product development services, raised $12.5 million in Series B funding, the firm said. WestBridge Capital Partners , an India venture fund, led the round, with New Enterprise Associates of Reston and Draper Atlantic , also of Reston, as new investors.

Novak Biddle Venture Partners led the second round of venture funding for Israeli fiber-optic networking company FiberZone Networks , which raised $8 million. Other investors included Portview Communications Partners and StageOne Ventures .

FlatBurger , a Vienna software development support company, raised $1.75 million in seed money from Amplifier Venture Partners of Reston and Intersouth Partners of North Carolina.
