Search for Big Cat Scaled Down
Authorities scaled back their search yesterday for a large cat apparently sighted near Andrews Air Force Base.
On Thursday, authorities got two reports of a cat the size of a large dog in the area. But there was no subsequent sighting or physical evidence of a cat, said Rodney Taylor, chief of Prince George's County's Animal Management Division.
Officials on the base were keeping a lookout for a large cat, but animal management did not have any special crews searching, Taylor said.
