Local firms and products being shown at E3:

· Mythic Entertainment (Fairfax) -- Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. This game is a "massively multiplayer" adaptation of a game that fans play with figurines on tabletops. Mythic says it should be released late next year.

· Bethesda Softworks (Rockville) -- Star Trek: Legacy. This game will let players command a fleet of ships from across the Star Trek universe. For PC and Xbox 360.

Star Trek: Tactical Assault. A spaceship combat game designed for the Sony PlayStation Portable and the Nintendo DS.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Bethesda will be showing add-on software that fans can purchase for their best-selling Xbox 360 and PC game.

· Firaxis Games (Hunt Valley, Md.) -- Sid Meier's Railroads. This "sim" game will let players build railroad empires.

Civilization IV: Warlords. This game is an "expansion pack" for game fans who own the company's Civilization IV game.

CivCity: Rome. A city-building PC strategy game based on the world of Firaxis's popular Civilization series. Scheduled for release this summer.

· Big Huge Games (Timonium, Md.) -- Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends. The latest entry in a "real-time strategy" genre franchise from the company. It is scheduled to hit store shelves today.
