Enron's former directors remain largely unscathed by the company's collapse, but there have been some consequences.
Ten of the 18 directors paid a combined $13 million out of their own pockets to settle a shareholder lawsuit alleging insider trading. Many resigned from -- or did not run again for -- seats on other corporate boards.
John H. Duncan*
The former president of Gulf & Western Industries Inc. was on Enron's board from 1985-2002. He no longer sits on any boards.
Robert A. Belfer*
Belfer is chief executive of Belfer Management LLC and does not sit on any boards.
Norman P. Blake Jr.*
The former chairman and chief executive of Comdisco Inc. has been on the board of Owens Corning since 1992.
Ronnie Chichung Chan*
Chairman of a major Hong Kong real estate firm, Chan sat on two other boards at the time of Enron's collapse.
Joe H. Foy*
A former president of Houston Natural Gas, which became Enron in 1985, Foy served on Enron's audit committee.
Wendy L. Gramm*
A senior scholar at George Mason University's Mercatus Center, Gramm resigned from the Invesco Funds board after Enron's collapse.
Ken Harrison*
Harrison became Enron's vice chairman after the energy trader acquired Portland General Electric.
Robert K. Jaedicke*
The former dean of Stanford Business School is an adviser to a diversified asset- management company called C.M. Capital Corp.
Charles A. LeMaistre*
The former president of University of Texas's M.D. Anderson Cancer Center does not sit on any boards.
Rebecca Mark-Jusbasche*
The former chairman and chief executive of Enron International paid the largest share so far to settle the lawsuit.
John Mendelsohn
At the time of Enron's collapse, Mendelsohn
also served on the board of ImClone Systems Inc. He is president of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
Jerome J. Meyer
Meyer serves on the audit and finance and operations committees of StanCorp Financial Group.
Paulo V. Ferraz Pereira
Ferraz is president of a major South American banking conglomerate. He served on Enron's audit and finance committees.
Frank Savage
Savage remains on the board of Lockheed Martin Corp., despite efforts by organized labor to boot him off in 2002. He is also a personal money manager.
John A. Urquhart
Urquhart joined the board of Catalytica Energy Systems Inc. in 1997 and will stay on until June.
John Wakeham
The former British energy secretary under Margaret Thatcher, Lord Wakeham was on the board's audit committee.
Charls Walker
Walker, of Potomac, left the Enron board in 1999 and holds no board memberships. He is a lobbyist and economist.
Herbert S. Winokur, Jr.
The managing general partner at the investment firm Capricorn Holdings, Winokur sits on two boards.
