Most teams rely on a seven-to-eight-man rotation in the playoffs, but Dallas can go 10 deep without much of a drop-off. The Mavericks are a flexible team that changes its look based on the opponent. Dallas can play the small-ball running game (with Harris, Stackhouse, Van Horn and Daniels) or succeed in the power half-court game (with Dampier and Griffin). Stackhouse's shot selection often is suspect, but he provides toughness and a swagger whenever he steps on the floor for the Mavericks. The Heat has a hungry, veteran second unit led by Alonzo Mourning and Payton. Still a relentless shot blocker and energizer, Mourning could force the Mavericks into being a jump-shooting team.
