In honor of Father's Day, an update on D.C. Council member Jack Evans, a single dad still searching for Ms. Right:
SDC (Single Dad Councilman), 52, seeks SKFP (Single Kid-Friendly Partner) for roller-skating, political fundraisers, and true love.
RÉSUMÉ: Degrees from Wharton and Pitt, Ward 2 Ccouncil memberman for 15 years, lawyer at Patton Boggs.
MARTIAL STATUS: Widower (his wife, Noel, died three years ago from cancer.)
HOUSEHOLD: 9-year-old triplets Katherine, John and Christine; 11-year-old Ggolden Rretriever Kayla; hamsters Cherry, Peach and Cookie; parrot Lucky; live-in nanny.
DOMESTIC SKILLS: Making breakfast for the kids ¿ cereal and Pop-Tarts during the week ("terrible, I know"), pancakes and bacon on Saturdays.
DRIVING SKILLS: Racing from the Wilson Building to Beavoir for school plays and recitals in 15 minutes. ("If you hit Rock Creek Park at the right time and the right speed.")
HANGOUTS: Can be found most Saturday nights roller-skating with the kids at Jelleff Boys & Girls Club near their house in Georgetown.
LIKES: Baseball (brought the kids to Thursday's Nationals game), jogging.
LOVE LIFE: Looking but unattached. Evans was linked to gallery owner Marsha Ralls last year because his PAC paid for her to travel to China, but was cleared of any ethics violations. (They're still friends.) He goes out on a date once or twice a month. "Trying to date at my age is hard."
DATING DRAWBACK: Busy, busy, busy. Out most nights at community meetings, receptions or other council-membery places. "Now, where does a social life fit into that schedule? That's the challenge I have."
ISO: An A 40-plus woman who likes kids or even has kids the same age. Brady Bunch, anyone?
