July 6 at 6 and 7 -- Gallery talk: "Inventing Language -- Sign and Symbol in Klee's Art." Free with museum admission.

July 13 at 6 and 7 -- Gallery talk: "Klee and Rothko -- A Legacy of Expression." Free with museum admission.

July 15 from 9 to noon -- Family program: "Taking a Line for a Walk." Children ages 6 to 10 accompanied by an adult tour the exhibition and participate in a hands-on art workshop. $25 for each adult-child pair; $20 for members. $10 for each additional participant; $8 for members. July 20 from 6 to 8 -- "Painting Music: A Celebration of Rhythm and Sound in Klee's Art." Klee's musical inspiration is the subject of this special Artful Evening, which features performance, art activities, a gallery talk ("Music for Your Eyes -- Klee's Harmonies in Line and Color" at 6 and 7) and a 6:30 lecture ("The Harmonies of Schuller and Klee"). Free with museum admission.

July 27 at 6 and 7 -- Gallery talk: "Conservator's Perspective: Beyond Borders -- Klee's Innovative Frames." Free with museum admission.

Aug. 3 at 6 and 7 -- Gallery talk: "Curator's Perspective: Klee's Influences -- From the Middle East to Music." Free with museum admission.

Aug. 10 at 6 and 7 -- Gallery talk: "Playful Purity -- Klee and the Art of Children." Free with museum admission.

Aug. 17 at 6 and 7 -- Gallery talk: "'Degenerate Artist' -- Klee's Response to Nazi Censorship." Free with museum admission.

Aug. 24 at 6 and 7 -- Gallery talk: "Taking a Line for a Walk -- Invention and Poetry in Klee's Process." Free with museum admission.
