You'll find something different on this page tomorrow, in the spot next to John Kelly's column. It'll be a short story about someone's daily commute. The next day, you'll read about The Next Big Thing. These are the inaugural efforts in a new adventure that will provide uncommon glimpses into daily life in and around Washington.
It is a space that will have many voices without being dedicated to any single thing. Sometimes it will deal with the parts of life that gnaw at us -- traffic and the ugly claptrap of the urban experience. Other days it might observe the beauty that surrounds us or the small things that bring joy.
It will introduce you to people who have jobs you've never noticed or always wondered about, to poignant moments seen through the single prism of one person's experience, to the wackiness that pervades our world.
