Reston Artists Hold Annual Photo Show


The League of Reston Artists is holding its annual judged photography exhibition through July 31 at the gallery in the U.S. Geological Survey's national center. The exhibit features works by photographers from the Washington area.

The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Prizes, including a people's choice award, will be given at a reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 20.

Deanna Bogart to Perform in Kingstowne


The Deanna Bogart Band will perform contemporary blues at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Kingstowne Towne Center as part of the Lee District Nights summer concert series. The Maryland-based group blends the energy of 1930s-style boogie piano with music from New Orleans, Chicago and Memphis.

In Paintings, a Shifting Light


The Riverbend Park Visitors Center in Great Falls will exhibit works by Ann B. McKay through July 30 in a show called "From the Mountains to the Bay."

McKay's vibrant landscapes capture her perceptions of fleeting, changing light and colors caused by changing weather, light and circumstances.

The visitors center, at 8700 Potomac Hills St., is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, except Tuesdays, and from noon to 5 p.m. weekends and holidays. For information, call 703-759-9018 or 703-401-5134.
