Italy's Berlusconi Ordered to Stand Trial

MILAN, Italy -- Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was ordered Friday to stand trial following an investigation into the sale of television rights at Mediaset SpA, Italian news agencies reported.

Mediaset Chairman Fedele Confalonieri was also ordered to stand trial, Judge Fabio Paparaella ruled at a preliminary hearing, the Apcom and MF-Dow Jones news agencies reported.
