8 Redskins Practices Will Be Open to Public During Camp

Saturday, July 8, 2006

Eight of the Washington Redskins' first 11 practices will be open to the public when training camp begins July 31 at Redskins Park in Ashburn, the team announced yesterday.

Parking lots and the entrance gate will open at 3 p.m. for afternoon practices; for the lone morning workout, the lots will open at 7 a.m. and the gate at 9 a.m. Parking is free for the practice sessions and there is no admission charge.

The team will charge for parking for the Aug. 5 scrimmage at FedEx Field.

For the final 2 1/2 weeks of training camp -- from Aug. 15 to a few days following the Redskins' final preseason game Aug. 31 -- practices will be closed to the public.
