BOILING BROOK PKWY., 4800 block, 10:30 p.m. July 19 to 4:45 a.m. July 20. Property was stolen from a food store entered by force.

CAPRI PL., 6800 block, 3 p.m. July 22 to 4 p.m. July 23. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

CHASE CROSSING CIR., 12000 block, 8:15 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. July 19. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

FERRARA DR., 3900 block, 6:30 p.m. July 12 to 9 a.m. July 13. An attempt was made to enter a swimming club by force.

ASSAULTS

CHERRY HILL RD., 1400 block, 10:05 p.m. July 10. A woman grabbed a knife and cut a man on the leg in connection during an argument. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

NORTHAMPTON DR., 800 block, 10:15 a.m. June 29. A Capitol Heights man, 23, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault in connection with an incident that just occurred at the above location.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8700 block, 10:30 p.m. July 4. A man in a restaurant sat down at the table of a Bladensburg man, 37, hit him on the head with a beer bottle, then left.

SHEPPERTON TERR., 2800 block, 9:41 p.m. July 12. A man was stabbed and a woman suffered an eye injury when she was hit by an ash tray during an argument. Both were taken to a local hospital. An investigation was continuing.

ROBBERIES

BARBARA ROAD AND COLLIE DRIVE, 9:20 p.m. July 7. Two men asked for change from two Silver Spring men, ages 32 and 46, who complied, then one of them pulled out a gun and fired it in the air. The Silver Spring men fled.

CASTLE CLIFF WAY, 13800 block, 6:30p.m. July 3. A man asked for money from a Silver Spring man, 20, got into a fight with him and they both fell to the ground. A friend of the Silver Spring man came out of a house and pulled the man off his friend. The man fled empty-handed.

COLESVILLE ROAD AND WAYNE AVENUE, 8 p.m. July 6. Three man kicked and punched a Rockville man, 18, until he fell to the ground. The assailants took cash and cellphone, then fled.

FENTON AND BONIFANT STREETS, 3 p.m. July 13. Two male cyclists accosted a Washington man and a Lanham woman, both age 17, searched them and found no property, then fled.

GEORGIA AVE., 8500 block, 2:55 p.m. July 13. Two male cyclists accosted a Silver Spring man, 40, who was then punched in the face. The cyclists took cash, then fled on the bicycles.

PINEY BRANCH, 8400 block, 8:50 p.m. July 12. A man in front of a restaurant grabbed another man with both hands, took his car keys, then drove off in the man's 1995 four-door Toyota Corolla.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8600 block, 10:44 p.m. July 12. A woman in a parking lot spoke to a Silver Spring man, 33, as a man demanded money from him. The woman took his wallet and cash, then they fled in a large, dark SUV.

ASSAULTS

CRAWFORD DR., 5900 block, 12:20 a.m. July 19. A Rockville man, 24, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and battery on a police officer in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location and an outstanding warrant.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ARDENNES AVE., 13100 block, 8:30 p.m. July 27 to 9 a.m. July 28. Checks were stolen from an office.

BOWIE CT., 1 to 100 block, July 3. A burglary occurred. A man, 19, of no fixed address was arrested July 3, and a man, 20, also of no fixed address, was arrested July 5, and both men were charged with burglary in connection with the incident.

BROADWOOD DR., 200 block, 9 p.m. July 25 to 6 a.m. July 26. Several power tools were stolen from a residential shed entered by force.

COLLEGE PARKWAY AREA, 8:30 a.m. July 25. Several street signs were stolen from public roadway intersections in the above location.

FREDERICK RD., 15100 block, 12:10 to 12:15 p.m. July 21. A Silver Spring man, 46, was arrested and charged with shoplifting in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

GLADSTONE DR., 1200 block, 4:05 a.m. July 30. Several CDs, a tape measure and another tool were stolen from a vehicle.

GLADSTONE DR., 1400 block, 9:30 p.m. July 29 to 9 a.m. July 30. A CD player, a CD holder, containing 25 CDs, and two pair of sunglasses where stolen from a vehicle.

GUDE DR. E., 1600 block, 3:38 p.m., July 24. Cash and a purse were stolen from a restaurant.

HOLLYBERRY CT., 1 to 100 block, 8 a.m. July 10 to midnight July 15. an attempt was made to enter a residence by force.

LEWIS AVE., 900 block, 9 p.m. July 26 to 9 a.m. July 27. A backpack containing clothing, and a cellphone ear piece and a pair of sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

MARTINS LANE, 300 block, 4:30 to 7 p.m. July 30. A wallet containing a driver's license, a bank card, a credit card and insurance cards were stolen from a swimming facility.

MONTGOMERY AVE. E., 100 block, 7 to 7:05 p.m. July 26. A backpack containing a passport and clothing was stolen from a restaurant.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1700 block, 4:30 to 7:40 p.m. July 28. A laptop computer and a digital music player were stolen from a hotel room entered with a key.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1700 block, 7:50 p.m. July 28. Two laptop computers, a hand-held computer, a passport and a credit card were stolen from a hotel room entered with a key.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 700 block, midnight to 8 a.m. July 18. A recycling container was stolen from a shopping center.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 800 block, 2:57 a.m. July 31. Property was taken from a business entered by force.

ROLLINS AVE., 100 block, 3 p.m. July 22 to 11:27 a.m. July 27. Pressure-treated, two-by-six inch pieces of lumber were stolen from a construction site.

SHADY GROVE RD., 14900 block, 6:50 p.m. July 27. Two video game systems were stolen from an electronics store.

STONESTREET AVE. N., 600 block, April 6. A man 34, of no fixed address was arrested July 20 and charged with theft in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

WELSH PARK DR., 100 block, 12:54 p.m. July 31. A wallet containing cash was stolen from a church.

YALE PL., 100 block, noon July 31. A Rockville boy, 11, was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

CARROLL AVE., 7000 block, 4:26 a.m. Aug 2. A man entered a retail store by force, removed property, then fled.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

MAPLE AVE., 7500 block, 6 to 9:56 p.m. Aug. 2. The ignition of a 2005 Dodge Caravan was damaged in an attempt to steal the vehicle.

MAPLE AVE., 7700 block, 11:47 p.m. Aug. 2. Four males stole a 1999 Dodge Caravan. Police stopped the van and the driver fled on foot. Three boys were arrested in connection with the incident.
