The Actors' Theatre of Washington's two-play extravaganza by gay playwrights had such an impressive run that it has been extended by several shows, to Aug. 20. Even better, the Helen Hayes Award-winning Nanna Ingvarsson will step in to play Joyce in "Ruffian on the Stair" (in addition to her duties in "Vampire Lesbians of Sodom"), beginning next Thursday.

The campy, bawdy "Vampire," about two beastly women caught in a catfight for the ages, and the sedate "Ruffian," about a mystery man shadowing a couple in England, continue this weekend. $26.50-$31.50.
