'Far Out' Juried Show Planned in Vienna

The Vienna Arts Society will hold a members-only juried show, "Far Out," featuring contemporary, avant-garde and expressionist works, from Aug. 28 through Sept. 30.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. An artist's reception will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 1. The gallery is at 115 Pleasant St. NW., Vienna.

Center Seeks Submissions For Reston Multicultural Show

The Reston Community Center wants works for its multicultural art show, scheduled to run from Sept. 6 through Oct. 1 at the center's Jo Ann Rose Gallery, 1609-A Washington Plaza.

Artists may submit two pieces, which should reflect the show's theme, "Celebrating Diversity at Its Best." For information, call 703-476-4500, Ext. 3000.

Green Spring Park Show And Sale Set to Return

The Springfield Art Guild and Friends of Green Spring Park will hold their annual juried art show and sale from Aug. 30 through Oct. 30 at Green Spring Gardens in the Alexandria section of the county.

The event features artwork with a horticultural or historical theme.
