Ex-CIA Loses the Way on Hunt

Expect a little extra activity around the National Building Museum on Monday.

The finale for NBC's puzzle-solving reality show "Treasure Hunters" will be broadcast live at 9 p.m. from the museum as the show's three remaining teams ("Southie Boys," "Air Force" and "Geniuses") learn who won the secret prize.

Todd Moore of Sterling and Jacob Porter of McLean, on the show's "Ex-CIA" team, were eliminated from the competition a few weeks ago but will appear in the finale. "I'm very disappointed," said Porter of his team's failure to make it to the final leg of the contest. "We would have had a huge advantage. We know where everything is in the city."

Moore said he took a month off from his job as a software architect to do the show when the majority of it was filmed last year. "It was a good experience. It taught me to get out and do more in life," he said. The Ex-CIA team got its moniker because Moore, Porter and teammate Mark West all worked for the government agency at some point.

While the team lost out on the final prize (Moore is guessing it's a "large sum of money"), Ex-CIA did win $30,000 in an earlier challenge. The team just hasn't seen the cash yet. "After taxes, after it's split three ways . . . we're going to get a couple of bucks," Moore said. "In our minds, it was great to win it."

Moore said he's excited to see his fellow contestants again and will "be happy for whichever team wins."

Sixty Candles

Happy birthday, Mr. Ex-President!

Bill Clinton turns 60 today and he's not thrilled about it. "I will be 60 years old. I hate it, but it's true," he told reporters last week.

"For most of my working life, I was the youngest person doing what I was doing. Then one day I woke up and I was the oldest person in every room," he added. "Now that I have more days behind me than ahead of me, I try to wake up with a discipline of gratitude every day."

Clinton spokesman Jay Carson said the birthday boy will spend the day with his wife, Sen. Hillary Clinton , and daughter, Chelsea . The Clintons plan to continue to celebrate the milestone with two big events in September and October to raise money for the Clinton Foundation.

He Sees Legal People

My, they grow up so fast.

"The Sixth Sense" actor Haley Joel Osment , 18, was charged on Thursday with drunk driving and possession of marijuana, the Associated Press reports. Osment faces up to six months in jail if convicted on the charges, which stemmed from his July 21 car crash in Los Angeles. The teen broke a rib and injured his shoulder in the accident. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 19.

Noted . . .

· "ER" actress Kellie Martin is expecting her first child with husband Keith Christian , the Associated Press reported yesterday. The couple married in 1999.

· Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty pleaded guilty in London yesterday to five counts of possessing illegal drugs and is slotted for sentencing on Sept. 4, according to AP. The on-and-off boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss was charged on Thursday with seven counts of drug possession, after he was stopped by police last week. The charges relate to Doherty's most recent arrest and two other incidents this year. The singer could face jail time.

"I contemplated 'Peace out, homeys.' That just didn't feel completely right." -- soon-to-be "CBS Evening News" anchorwoman Katie Couric on picking a signature sign-off.
