Emmy Awards

The Emmy Awards. Conan O'Brien hosts the 58th annual ceremony honoring television's best (Channel 4 at 8). TV Guide Channel begins its five-hour pre-Emmy coverage at 3 p.m., while E! starts its pre-game show at 4 p.m.

Cable Season Finales

Deadwood. The camp turns out to vote but the election may already have been decided, and Langrishe ponders his future in Deadwood (HBO at 9).
