Mediate has played in eight games with two starts this season for United. He was acquired in March in a trade with the Columbus Crew, who selected the former Maryland player in the second round of the 2005 draft.

According to salary documents, Juan Francisco Palencia, pictured, is the highest-paid MLS player, and D.C.'s Freddy Adu is fifth.
