Fair Oaks District


PATH NEAR VADEN DRIVE AND KELLY SQUARE, 7:26 a.m. Aug. 24. A man passed a 39-year-old female pedestrian on a path between Nottoway Park and the Vienna Metro station, then turned and grabbed her shorts. The woman screamed and ran, and the man ran in the opposite direction.

COUNTRY CREEK ROAD NEAR SHAWN LEIGH COURT, 7:32 a.m. Aug. 24. A man groped a 32-year-old female pedestrian from behind. The woman shouted, and he fled. No injuries were reported.


BLUEBERRY LANE, 13200 block. Two bicycles and a stroller were stolen from a residence.

CENTREVILLE RD., 2900 block. A stereo was stolen from a storage unit.

CHAIN BRIDGE RD., 4000 block. A badge and a cellphone were stolen from a vehicle.

FAIR OAKS SHOPPING CENTER, 11700 block. Golf clubs were stolen from a vehicle.

FAIRFAX VILLAGE DR., 10400 block. A cellphone was stolen from a business.

FOXVALE DR., 3200 block, 3:45 a.m. Aug. 22. A man heard footsteps inside his home and assumed it was a family member. When he called out to the person, he saw several people running from the house. Electronic equipment had been stolen, several items in the house had been moved, and a piece of furniture had been damaged. An investigation indicated that the house had been entered through an unlocked door.

HUNT CLUB CIR., 4200 block. A stereo was stolen from a vehicle.
