A Cat in a Hat -- How About That?
· The Cat in the Hat is coming to Georgetown.
Starting Saturday evening a four-foot bronze sculpture of Dr. Seuss's most-beloved character will be on display for about a week at P&C Art at 3108 M St.
In addition to the Cat sculpture, kids (and their Seuss-loving parents) can see more than 50 limited-edition prints and a number of sculpture created by Theodor Seuss Geisel during his lifetime.
Everything on exhibit will be available for sale, with part of the money going to promote reading programs at Reading Is Fundamental. But even if you can't buy your own Dr. Seuss artwork, it will be fun to see more examples of his creative genius.

Patriotic Pests· Groundskeepers at a cemetery in Wisconsin thought kids were stealing dozens of American flags. That is, until a groundskeeper found a giant squirrel's nest.
"I was mowing, looked up out into the distance, and something caught my eye," said Dave Ender, a groundskeeper at the cemetery.
He drove his riding lawnmower to a nearby street intersection and looked up a tree.
"Lo and behold, I found the missing flags," Ender said.
They were ripped and serving as the foundation of a giant squirrel nest.
"I've never seen anything like that before," he said.
No one at the cemetery had ever seen a squirrel with a flag in its mouth, either.
"They must have done it at night, or very early in the morning," Ender said. "Those little rascals, they're just amazing."
