Local Photographers' Work On Display at Reston Show

Reston Community Center invites photography enthusiasts to its annual darkroom photographers exhibit and reception today from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the center's Hunter Woods location.

The darkroom is one of the few photo labs open to the public in the county, and the exhibit offers a chance to see the work of local photographers, from realist to abstract to hand-colored.

Hunter Woods is at 2310 Colts Neck Rd.

Arts Center Ceremony To Include Music, Crafting

The Workhouse Arts Center at Lorton is the site of an official key ceremony and public event from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The county will turn over the keys to the jail for the planned arts center in the former D.C. Correctional Complex prison site. There will be pre-construction tours of the workhouse campus and structures. Opening of the center is scheduled for fall 2007.

Live music, refreshments, artists' demonstration of works in progress and crafting will round out the day. For information, visit .
