It Takes One to Know One

In his Sept. 20 op-ed column "A Web of Exhibitionists," about blogs and social networking Web sites, Robert J. Samuelson condescendingly dismisses the countless ordinary Americans who maintain these sites.

"Everything about these sites is a scream for attention," he writes. "Look at me. Listen to me. Laugh with me."

There is certainly no lack of narcissism in the blogosphere. But how does a columnist who makes his living off the words "I think . . . " find fault with others for expressing their opinions?
