For example, Paris, which was offered last week, had 50 fixed-price packages for travel through October 2007 that included air from New York and five nights at the Hotel du Louvre for $1,900 per couple; priced separately, the package for summer travel would cost about $4,826. The "going once" packages include more extras; the 30 Paris packages, for example, started at $5,580 per couple and dropped in price every 20 minutes before selling out at $3,858.
