The Redskins continued to display an adverse reaction to Giants Stadium. For the second straight season, the offense sputtered, and the defense had trouble getting the Giants' offense off the field.

Last year, the Giants dominated, 36-0, and held the Redskins to 125 yards of total offense. They also limited the Redskins to 2 of 12 third-down conversions.

The defense had all kinds of problems with tailback Tiki Barber, who ran for 206 yards last year. Similar to yesterday, the defense in last season's game forced the Giants into field goals -- Jay Feely kicked four-- but gave up significant yardage.

Perhaps the most troubling statistic for the Redskins the last time they visited the Meadowlands was time of possession. The Giants held an almost two-to-one advantage, 39 minutes 21 seconds to 20:39.

After that loss, the Redskins went 1-3, then closed with five straight wins to make the playoffs for the first time since 1999.
