Deborah Harry bade adieu to CBGB Saturday night, playing a farewell show at the Manhattan nightclub before it closes for good at the end of the month.

The legendary punk-rock venue helped launch the careers of Blondie, the Ramones, Television, Talking Heads and many others. Singer Patti Smith -- a regular at CBGB after it first opened in 1973 -- headlined the final performance last night.

The club, whose initials stand for country, bluegrass and blues, is closing after a rent dispute with its landlord.
