THE BRIDESMAID -- French director Claude Chabrol's unsettling story about a man (Benoit Magimel) who becomes enamored with his sister's crazed bridesmaid (Laura Smet). Based on Ruth Rendall's psychologically thrilling novel. At Landmark's E Street Cinema.

CASINO ROYALE -- Daniel Craig takes on the James Bond role in Martin Campbell's re-imagining of the Ian Fleming book that began the 007 series.

COPYING BEETHOVEN -- Ed Harris stars as the composer who has gone deaf and gets the assistance of a young female copyist (Diane Kruger) to finish his new symphony. At Landmark's Bethesda Row.

FAST FOOD NATION -- Based on Eric Schlosser's 2001 bestseller that scrutinized the fast-food industry, the satire stars Wilmer Valderrama, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Greg Kinnear, Bobby Cannavale, Luis Guzman, Patricia Arquette, Avril Lavigne and Ethan Hawke. Directed by Richard Linklater.

FUR: AN IMAGINARY PORTRAIT OF DIANE ARBUS -- Directed by Steven Shainberg ("Secretary"), the biopic stars Nicole Kidman as the photographer who had a penchant for bizarre, piercing work and eventually committed suicide. Co-starring Robert Downey Jr.

HAPPY FEET -- The animated comedy features Elijah Wood as the voice of Mumble, a penguin who must attract his soul mate through dancing because he doesn't have much of a singing voice. Also includes the voices of Robin Williams, Brittany Murphy, Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman.
