The Kennedy Center has extended the run of "Katie Couric's the Brand New Kid," the world premiere of a children's musical inspired by the CBS news anchor's book about a 7-year-old boy who struggles to be accepted at a new school. The show opens Friday in the Family Theater and continues through Dec. 17. Tickets cost $15. Many performances are sold out.
