Allow Time for Travel

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is asking travelers to prepare for holiday crowds at Reagan National and Dulles International airports through Tuesday.

Travelers are encouraged to call or visit airline Web sites before check-in to confirm flight information. Domestic travelers should arrive 2 1/2 hours early (three hours for international destinations) to allow time for parking, check-in and screening, officials said.

Familiarize yourself with safety regulations before arriving. According to the Transportation Security Administration, liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce containers and placed in one-quart zip bags. For more information, visit

BWI Nonstop to Greenland

Air Greenland will offer nonstop service from Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to Kangerlussuaq.

Starting May 25, flights will depart BWI each Friday. From June 11 to Aug. 24, flights will depart BWI on Mondays and Fridays.

The airline will use Boeing 757 aircraft that seat 184 passengers. For information, visit

Valet Parking at National

Reagan National Airport is offering valet parking across from Daily Garage A. Service includes transportation to and from the terminal in a valet shuttle. Luggage assistance is also provided.

Rates are $40 for the first day, $30 for the second day, $30 for the third day and $25 for each additional day.
