The Jeff Garcia-led Eagles offense was completely ineffective the first two times it touched the ball, gaining a total of 15 yards. On both possessions, Garcia completed short passes on third down to well-covered teammates who failed to reach the first-down marker. Meantime, Jason Campbell completed two of his first three throws and moved the Redskins 75 yards on their first possession, leading to a 31-yard field goal from Shaun Suisham. But on Washington's next possession, Campbell threw an interception to Omar Gaither, who returned the ball 16 yards to the Washington 31-yard line. Garcia needed four plays to find L.J. Smith for a 10-yard touchdown reception.
