Player of the Year

S Megan Shifflett, Langley, Jr.

Named by coaches as the AAA Northern Region player of the year, Shifflett finished with 687 assists, 201 digs, 100 aces and 65 blocks in leading the Saxons to an unbeaten regular season.

Coach of the Year

Jim Bour, Westfield

Led the Bulldogs to the Northern Region title even though they suffered from injuries and illnesses, including one that kept middle hitter Kelsey Maloney out for all but the first part of the season.

All-Extra Team

OH Caitlin Goodman , Westfield, Sr.

Registered 261 kills and 233 digs. Her play improved as the season progressed. She had 11 or more kills in each of the Bulldogs' final 10 matches.

OH Caitlyn Jansen, Robinson, Sr.

One of the program's most court-savvy players, Jansen made 162 kills and 64 digs and showed a propensity for perfect placement.

OH Jayne Seward, West Potomac, Sr.

On a team that finished 7-9, Seward earned the Patriot District's most valuable player award thanks to her superb skills and solid play.

MH Lisa Scott, Langley, Jr.

Few were better at the net than Scott, who had 259 kills and 115 blocks on her way to all-Liberty District first team honors.

MH Devyn Hunter, Herndon, Sr.

Hunter showed her versatility with 154 kills and a team-high .333 hitting percentage to go along with 56 blocks and a 95 serving percentage.

S Kim Corcoran, Westfield, Sr.

Named the Northern Region tournament most valuable player, she had 869 assists while running a 5-1 offense for the first time for the AAA state quarterfinalists.

S Pam Horner, Lee, Sr.

A second-team All-Met, Horner made 769 assists, 244 digs and 96 aces to lead the Lancers to a fourth straight district title.

S Ryann Lowery, Centreville, Sr.

Finished the season with 467 assists and 149 digs on a team that went 14-12 and made the AAA state quarterfinals.

L Vicki Chung, Chantilly, Jr.

With 222 digs and 199 successful passes, Chung helped the Chargers go 20-5 and make the Concorde District tournament semifinals.
