Wizards: Injured Fs Darius Songaila (back) and Michael Ruffin (right foot sprain) and injured C Etan Thomas (left ankle sprain) were inactive. . . .

Gilbert Arenas entered last night's game against Memphis averaging 30.1 points per game, third behind Denver's Carmelo Anthony (31.6) and Allen Iverson (30.6). No Washington player has ever led the league in scoring.

In 1961-62, Walt Bellamy averaged a franchise-record 31.6 points per game when the franchise was the Chicago Packers. That was a distant second behind Wilt Chamberlain, who averaged 50.4 points for the Philadelphia Warriors.
