Redskins wide receiver Antwaan Randle El had a deep ball down the left sideline batted down by cornerback Sam Madison late in the first quarter. Randle El signaled for pass interference, but it wasn't called. The versatile player got the last word on the next play when he took a handoff, ran right and tossed a 48-yard touchdown pass to Santana Moss. Madison was covering on that play, too, but misjudged the throw.

After being widely criticized for a slow start, Redskins defensive end Andre Carter continued his late-season push. Carter's first-quarter sack of Eli Manning gave him four in the season's final five games, his most productive stretch since midway through 2003. Carter had one sack through the first 11 games and went seven consecutive games without a sack.
