Redskins safety Sean Taylor has not had the type of impact season that had been forecasted for him, largely because of missed tackles and poor coverage. Taylor had a ferocious hit on Tiki Barber after the Giants tailback gained 11 yards during the second quarter, but on the ensuing play, Barber burst through the left side of the line, and Taylor missed the tackle, allowing Barber to score on a 55-yard run.

Who says quarterbacks shouldn't be heavy? Giants backup Jared Lorenzen trotted -- slowly -- onto the field late in the second quarter and used his bulky midsection as an asset. The former University of Kentucky starter leaned his 285 pounds into the line of scrimmage on a third-and-one play and came up easily with the first down. Then he jogged off the field, again slowly.
