How They Got In: They secured home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs by beating the Cardinals yesterday.
Prognosis: They are the league's least flawed team, with a dynamic defense and record-setting RB LaDainian Tomlinson as their offensive centerpiece. But young QB Philip Rivers has left Tomlinson to carry the offense all by himself too often lately and this is the time of the year when Coach Marty Schottenheimer traditionally turns too conservative.
