Lil' JJ, the 16-year-old stand-up comic, stars as ninth-grader Jordan Lewis, newly relocated from Arkansas to South Los Angeles. The series follows Jordan as he goes to school, works at his family's diner ("Papa Grant's Fish N' Grill") and speaks up about the unfairness of being a kid. The show will include guest stars such as Jon Stewart and Cheryl Hines, along with various music performers.

WHAT HAPPENED WHEN: SAGO MINE

9 p.m. on Discovery Channel

A year ago, hope and fear clutched a small West Virginia town as 13 miners were trapped underground after a mysterious explosion during a thunderstorm. The story of the Sago Mine disaster unfolds in the words of those who live in Buckhannon, W.Va., which lost 12 of its own after carbon monoxide filled the mine in which they were trapped.

GAY, STRAIGHT OR TAKEN

8 p.m. on Lifetime

How very far we've come since "The Dating Game." In this unscripted series, a woman goes on a series of dates with three guys -- two of whom are already committed to a different guy or gal.

To win the big prize (billed as "a luxurious dream trip for two"), the eligible bachelorette must successfully pick the available one of the three candidates. But if she picks the wrong guy, he and his partner get the trip -- all the more reason for the fellas to brush up on their acting skills.
