The other modern era finalists are former Buffalo Bills running back Thurman Thomas, offensive lineman Bruce Matthews, receivers Michael Irvin, Art Monk and Andre Reed, defensive ends Fred Dean and Richard Dent, guards Russ Grimm and Bob Kuechenberg, punter Ray Guy, linebackers Derrick Thomas and Andre Tippett, cornerback Roger Wehrli and tackle Gary Zimmerman.

The two senior committee nominees are guard Gene Hickerson and tight end Charlie Sanders.

This year's induction will be held the weekend of Aug 4-5 in Canton, Ohio.
