Makes 20 small servings
This is the rich concoction that Buzz serves its customers. An espresso cup, or quarter-cup's worth, is all you'll need for each serving. The experts at Buzz recommend using Valrhona chocolate.
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
2 cups water
2 cups heavy cream
2 ounces good-quality semisweet chocolate, broken into small pieces
1 cup hot brewed espresso
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cocoa powder, sugar, water and cream, whisking until the mixture just starts to bubble around the edges and the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat; add the chocolate pieces and brewed espresso, whisking until the chocolate has melted. Transfer to a blender to mix until smooth and creamy. Divide among espresso cups, and serve immediately.
