Monday's concert celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Millennium Stage features free evening performances in the Kennedy Center's three major halls. Th e National Symphony Orchestra will perform Modest Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" in the Concert Hall from 7 to 7:40. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will perform its signature classic, "Revelations," in the Eisenhower Theater from 8 to 8:30, and indie music icon Sufjan Stevens will perform with members of the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra in the Opera House from 9 to 10. From 6 to 7, the Commodores, the U.S. Navy's jazz ensemble, will play on the Grand Foyer Millennium Stage.
Free tickets have been distributed for the concerts, but all concerts will be projected on screens in the Grand Foyer at the Kennedy Center, 2700 F St. NW. Call 202-467-4600 or 800-444-1324 (TDD: 202-416-8524).
Monday's performance by the Commodores will be broadcast live on the Internet, but other concerts will not be; the Stevens concert will be available later in the center's digital archives.
