ROBBERIES
PALACE WAY,11900 block, 3:45 a.m. Jan. 30. A man got out of a vehicle, showed a knife and demanded money from a 59-year-old man who was operating a street sweeper in a parking lot. The man gave the robber money, and the robber fled in the vehicle with another male.
THEFTS/BREAK-INS
BLAKE LANE,9500 block. A hand-held media player as stolen from a residence.
CHAIN BRIDGE RD.,2900 block. A purse was stolen from a business.
FAIR LAKES SHOPPING CENTER,13000 block. Five plasma TVs were stolen from a business.
GALLIEC ST.,11400 block. Two gasoline furnaces were stolen from a residence.
JAMES MADISON DR.,2500 block. A cellphone was stolen from a school.
LEES CORNER RD.,3300 block. A cellphone was stolen from a school.
PEACH LEAF PL.,13100 block. Jewelry was stolen from a business.
SAN JUAN DR.,4200 block. Jewelry and a stereo were stolen from a residence.
