FILM A Little More From German Directors The Goethe-Institut's "A Deeper Look" film series, which examines more closely four German directors showcased last month, screens "Ghetto-Kids" today. Christian Wagner's movie is about an immigrant family in Germany facing terrible living conditions, petty crime and an unpreventable tragedy. EXHIBIT "Every Dog Has Its Day," Part 2 After hosting the immensely popular first edition of this show in November, WVSA ARTiculate Gallery's second showcase of commissioned paintings of local pups launches with an opening bash tonight. The gallery, which encourages and exhibits the work of kids with special needs, will show 60 of the more than 200 portraits completed for the project (but sorry, no dogs allowed). CONCERT A Regular D.C. Supergroup Gypsy Eyes Records gathers some of the city's better-known indie and electronic artists for a showcase headlined by Dust Galaxy, a surprisingly techno-pop, mildly psychedelic band featuring Thievery Corporation's Rob Garza, the Make-Up's James Canty and Gogogo Airheart's Ashish Vyas, among others. ON STAGE Savion Glover The dreadlocked tap-dancing virtuoso who made magic of the animated "Happy Feet" as well as choreographed the late-'90s Broadway show "Bring In 'da Noise, Bring In 'da Funk" will perform "Classical Savion," danced to a full ensemble of classical musicians, at the Warner Theatre in a Washington Performing Arts Society event. $52-$62.
