St. Anne's Episcopal Church has Ash Wednesday services at noon and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The public is also invited to a walking meditation in the church's labyrinth from 6 to 10 p.m. 1700 Wainwright Dr., Reston. 703-437-6530.

Epiphany of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church plans to serve meatless Eastern European meals starting at 4 p.m. every Friday during Lent beginning Feb. 23. Takeout service will be available until 7 p.m., and the public can eat at the church from 5 to 7 p.m. The menus will include pirohi, haluski, vegetarian soup and desserts.
