MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 24 -- Antawn Jamison was roaming around the court before Friday's game against the Chicago Bulls, trading trash-talk with teammates over a free throw contest while wearing his game uniform.

Jamison didn't play -- he missed his ninth straight game because of a left knee sprain -- but the fact that he joined the team on a three-game trip that continues Sunday afternoon at Minnesota, as well as his participation in shooting drills and other non-contact activities, suggest that the team's third-leading scorer is getting closer to a return.

The team has consistently stuck to a three- to six-week return timetable for Jamison, who has consistently said he plans on being back in four weeks. Tuesday's game at New Jersey falls exactly four weeks from the night Jamison went down against the Detroit Pistons on Jan. 30.

When asked whether he planned on trying to play before the three-game trip ends at New Jersey on Tuesday night, Jamison turned and smiled before continuing his walk toward the team bus. The Wizards are 4-5 without Jamison.

Game Won't Be Televised

For only the second time this season, the Wizards won't be on television when they play the Timberwolves on Sunday afternoon. ABC has exclusive television rights to games played during the afternoon time slots and the network chose to air Miami at Cleveland, a game that also tips off at 3:30.
