One Week Left to Enter Our Peeps Diorama Contest
(Just Born Inc.)
|
We underestimated our readers' enthusiasm for buying Peeps and making dioramas. For our first-ever Peeps Diorama Contest, we've received a bunch of entries, some of which exhibit astounding ingenuity.
If you want to vie for the prize, you have one more week to make and photograph your Peeps diorama: Think of a scene from history or pop culture, and make a diorama out of it, using Peeps as people or set pieces or whatever. Anything goes, as long as the focus is on the Peeps and the diorama is made in a shoe box or an item of comparable dimensions.
When you're done, e-mail JPEG photos of the diorama to sundaysource@washpost.com with "Peeps" in the subject line. Include your name, daytime phone number and home town, plus the diorama's title.
Submissions are due by March 18. After you send photos, keep your masterpiece on hand: We'll pick five finalists and send a courier to pick up those dioramas to be photographed professionally. Winners will be announced April 8. Each finalist will receive a Washington Post duffel bag and T-shirt, and the winner will get a $100 gift card (to a place to be determined).
Dioramist's block? We've offered ideas in the past weeks, and here's another: a flock of one-eyed, one-horned flying purple Peeple eaters.
