Expecting a Baby and a Husband

Actress Salma Hayek is pregnant and engaged to a French businessman whose firm owns Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent . " Francois-Henri Pinault and his fiancee, Salma Hayek, are happy to announce they are expecting the arrival of their first child," spokeswoman Ina Treciokas said Friday in a one-paragraph statement. Treciokas said no other details -- including Hayek's due date -- would be made public, according to Reuters.

Pinault, 44, is CEO of his family's luxury goods firm, PPR. Hayek, 40, received an Oscar nomination for "Frida" and is executive producer of the TV show "Ugly Betty."

Two Weddings and No Funeral

Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar tied the knot yesterday in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Jodhpur, India. It was their second wedding in a very busy week.

"We will be doing Hindu rituals, and they will walk around a holy fire seven times," said a Hindu priest, who declined to be named, before entering Umaid Bhavan Palace, where the ceremony took place.

The British actress-model, 41, and Nayar, a 42-year-old Indian businessman, first exchanged vows in a private civil ceremony in a castle near London. Since then, they've been celebrating with lavish parties in Mumbai and in the desert state of Rajasthan, according to the Associated Press. The hour-long Hindu wedding ceremony was expected to be followed by a procession of elaborately painted elephants, camels and horses through the grounds of the palace turned luxury hotel.

Hurley appeared in the "Austin Powers" films and modeled for Estee Lauder cosmetics.

Nanny 411

A woman claiming to have worked as a nanny for Madonna is currently shopping a tell-all memoir, EW.com reports. Melissa Dumas ' proposal outlines a book that will reveal the inner workings of the Madonna- Guy Ritchie household, including alleged details of their marriage, the family's participation in Kabala, and the motivation behind Madonna's adoption of a Malawian child. The pitch includes a copy of an unsigned non-disclosure agreement that Dumas claims was issued to her only after she resigned.

Literary agent Sharlene Martin would not say if the book it has been bought by a publisher. Neither Dumas nor a representative for Madonna responded immediately to requests for comment, the Web site reported.

Friends of Hillary

Sen. Hillary Clinton dined on Thursday night at Penn Quarter restaurant 701, according to The Post's Al Kamen. She was joined by former ambassador Joe Wilson and his wife, Valerie Plame , as well as former Bill Clinton aide (and ex-Post writer) Sidney Blumenthal and his wife, Jackie. What they talked about is anybody's guess -- Wilson, reached on his cellphone yesterday, had no comment.

In a statement to fans Thursday on Van Halen's Web site, the 52-year-old guitarist said he decided to seek treatment because "at the moment I do not feel that I can give you my best." He isn't expected to attend his band's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during a ceremony Monday in New York.
