MicroStrategy, the McLean-based data mining company, has been busy landing customers -- three in one week, to be exact.
MicroStrategy nabbed an account with KB Toys Inc., the mall-based toy retailer. KB Toys will use MicroStrategy's software to keep track of inventory and improve the supply chain between its vendors and stores. Two days later, MicroStrategy announced that its software will be used by shipping giant DHL Express to analyze sales, marketing, finance and operations across the company.
And Thursday, Internet travel service Priceline.com tapped MicroStrategy to track search engine marketing data so the company can better target its online advertising presence.
MicroStrategy provides software that analyzes and organizes data to help companies make decisions about various aspects of their business. For instance, MicroStrategy will collect information about how Priceline.com is spending its advertising money. That way, Priceline.com can make better decisions about where to market itself on the Internet, said Sanju K. Bansal, MicroStrategy's chief operations officer.
The analyses "are highly useful tools for online retailers, like Priceline.com, who are interested in identifying key trends and opportunities to improve business performance," Bansal said.

High schools from western Fairfax and eastern Loudoun counties are expected to participate. In the past, airlines, day camps, retail chains, restaurants, construction companies and golf courses have offered students jobs on the spot, the event's organizers said.
The job fair will be from 3 to 6 p.m. April 17 at the Dulles Expo & Conference Center.
