Woman Seen Dumping Pup From Van

CLARKSVILLE, Trotter Road near Red Clover Lane, 2:10 p.m. March 26. Someone reported seeing a woman eject a small brown puppy from a dark blue or black minivan and drive away. Searches for the puppy were unsuccessful. Neighbors were asked to contact animal control if they find the animal.

According to animal control officials, abandoning an animal is a crime and domestic animals typically suffer and die when released into the wild. The Howard County Animal Shelter accepts strays and surrendered pets for free.
