Cover Story The kindergartners at School-Within-School at Peabody had spent their academic year documenting the world of Eastern Market. So when they heard a fire had engulfed the 134-year-old landmark, they worried about the fate of the many friends they'd made along the way: Melvin the Chicken Man, Mr. Canales the Meat Man, Jack the Cheese Man and more. Later that morning, the children made their way to the scene with their sketchbooks to draw a sad end to their project.
