Art, Not Weather, Reigned in The Park

Thursday, May 10, 2007

While there were a few sprinkles Saturday, Art in the Park went ahead as planned at the Mattawoman Creek Art Center in Smallwood State Park.

Some area artists set up easels under canopies to paint scenes in the park. The event also included face painting and other children's activities, an open house at Smallwood's Retreat and musical performances by the St. Charles String Quartet, Madd Mother Moose, Broken Stigma and the College of Southern Maryland Guitar Club.
