Attention, readers: Have we got a date for you. Thursday, June 21, to be exact (a.k.a. the first day of summer). That's when we want you to help capture a day in the life of the Washington area. Take a photograph any time that day between 12 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. The pictures can be of anyone or anything -- though, you know, tasteful.

Choose your best photograph -- only one per person -- and e-mail it to us at sundaysource@washpost.com. Digital files should be 5 megabytes or smaller. Include a short comment about the photo, where and exactly when (we're talking to the minute) it was taken and why you chose it. Also include your name, home town and daytime telephone number.

We'll select our favorites (with a grand prize of a $100 American Express gift card) and run them in the Sunday Source this summer.
